Is IndieGala legit? An honest answer (2026)

Short answer: Yes. IndieGala is a real, long-running store run by IndieGala S.r.l. in Rome, Italy, and it sells keys for games from developers and publishers, not a gray-market marketplace. Its weak spot is customer support: reviews regularly mention checkout errors and slow replies, so redeem your keys right away and keep a copy. Facts checked October 19, 2026.

What IndieGala is

IndieGala started in December 2011 selling themed Steam key bundles. Today it runs bundles, a regular store, free giveaways and its own game publishing arm.
It is headquartered in Rome, Italy (IndieGala S.r.l.).
KrakenKeys, a third-party store reviewer, describes it as an official partner of publishers including Iceberg Interactive, Team17, Bandai Namco and Paradox.
IndieGala says purchased keys never expire, but it strongly advises activating them within 60 days because replacing a problem key gets harder after that.

Is it cheaper? LootDrop's own price data

In LootDrop's latest price check, IndieGala had a price for 322 of the 727 PC games we track, and it was the cheapest authorized store (or tied for cheapest) for 54 of them. So it's worth checking, but it isn't always the best price.

What customers say

On Trustpilot's main site IndieGala had a TrustScore of 3.6 out of 5 from about 2,741 reviews when we checked (65% five-star, 17% one-star). Many long-time buyers say every key they bought worked. The common complaints are checkout and payment errors, slow support replies, and occasional missing or late keys. Trustpilot scores change daily and differ a little between its country sites.

Refunds and support

KrakenKeys reports that IndieGala handles refunds case by case, so contact support quickly if something goes wrong. If a Steam key says it's invalid, restart Steam first; if it still fails, email [email protected]. IndieGala says email is the recommended channel for problem orders (Discord's #customer-support channel is there for quick questions), that it replies to every email, and that you should check your spam folder if you don't hear back within 24 hours.

How to buy from IndieGala safely

Redeem Steam keys as soon as you buy, and copy them somewhere safe.
Activate within 60 days, which is IndieGala's own advice.
For problem orders, email [email protected] instead of relying on Discord, so there's a written record.
For bundles, only count the games you'll actually play. Our bundle guide does that math for you.

Verdict

Legit; the main risk is support, not the keys. It's good for cheap bundles and store deals if you redeem straight away.
