Is there a Steam Black Friday sale in 2026?
Short answer: no, not a store-wide one. Valve's 2026 calendar has no Steam-wide sale in Black Friday week. In its announcement of the second-half 2026 events, Valve said: “We plan to highlight games doing Black Friday discounts by directing traffic to the Special Offers hub. Specific dates and details to come.” So expect some publishers' games to be discounted and featured on Steam's Special Offers page, not a sale across the whole store. Black Friday is 41 days away (Friday, November 27, 2026). The next store-wide Steam sale is the Steam Winter Sale (December 17, 2026 to January 4, 2027, 61 days away). Updated .
Why there's no Steam Black Friday sale anymore
The Steam Autumn Sale used to start around Thanksgiving, so it covered Black Friday. Valve moved it to early October, and the 2026 Steam Autumn Sale ran October 1 to 8. That left Black Friday week without a Steam-wide event. Other authorized PC stores (GOG, Humble, Fanatical, Green Man Gaming, GameBillet, IndieGala and Epic) usually run their own Black Friday sales; their dates are announced closer to the day, and we add them to our Black Friday 2026 page once they're confirmed.

FAQ
Is there a Steam Black Friday sale in 2026?
Not a store-wide one. Valve's published 2026 calendar has no Steam-wide sale in Black Friday week. Valve says that in November it plans to highlight games doing Black Friday discounts by directing traffic to the Special Offers hub, with dates and details to come. Individual publishers can still discount their games that week.
When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday, November 27, 2026. Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30, 2026.
What happened to the Steam Autumn Sale?
Valve moved it to early October. The 2026 Steam Autumn Sale ran October 1 to 8, 2026, so it no longer overlaps Black Friday.
When is the next big Steam sale after Black Friday?
The Steam Winter Sale, December 17, 2026 to January 4, 2027, per Valve's Steamworks calendar. That is the next store-wide Steam sale.
Which Steam events are in November 2026?
Steam Scream V (Halloween) runs October 26 to November 2, and the Auto-Battler RPG Fest runs November 16 to 23. Both are themed fests where only matching games take part, not store-wide sales.
Should I buy on Black Friday or wait for the Steam Winter Sale?
Check the price, not the date. If a game is at or near its all-time low on Black Friday, at Steam or another authorized store, buy it. If it isn't close, the Winter Sale on December 17 is the next likely drop. Our Black Friday deal checker compares today's price with the lowest price we have on record.
Are Steam keys from other stores safe on Black Friday?
Keys from authorized stores (publisher-approved sellers such as GOG, Humble, Fanatical, Green Man Gaming, GameBillet and IndieGala) are safe and activate on Steam as normal. LootDrop lists authorized stores only, never gray-market key resellers.
